Rush County Schools was in genuine need of a fitness center and weight training facility for its athletes and the community. The façade of the new addition took design inspiration from the adjacent iconic fieldhouse and auxiliary gymnasium. The project is open concept with large windows that allow maximum natural light while also providing privacy to those using the facility. Physical education classes, sports teams, and the community are making great use of the new building and its state-of-the-art equipment. It is connected to the auxiliary gymnasium locker rooms and restroom facilities, and ample parking is just outside the door.
