PROJECT DETAILS:

Named Founders Point in honor of the site’s historic significance as the location where the meetings to establish Clark County were originally held, this new two-story elementary school was designed to foster connection, collaboration, and discovery. A central lobby and commons serve as the heart of the building, connecting four academic wings, while an open stair and second-floor slide create an engaging link between levels. The school includes 28 classrooms for Pre-K through 5th grade, dedicated spaces for art, music, STEM, special education, and a two-story media center filled with natural light. Inspired by the school’s rockhopper penguin mascot, the interior incorporates biophilic materials, colors, and patterns that reflect the penguin’s natural habitat, creating a vibrant learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and student well-being.
