PROJECT DETAILS:
This project consists of the renovations to East Central Middle School and East Central High School, which are connected buildings on one campus. The exterior work focused on the creation of an easier pick-up and drop-off sequence for parents and buses by adding additional stacking on site and separating bus and car traffic. The athletic renovations included renovations to baseball/softball fields, which improved pedestrian circulation and the construction of auxiliary spaces. The middle school is an Earthship building that has yet to see a significant renovation since the construction of the school. The renovation included work to art, science, and special education programs that brought the spaces to current educational standards and general renovations to the rest of the academic spaces. The project also included the additions to the administration wing to increase office capacity and improve safe entry into the building. The addition of the kitchen expansion in the back of the building allowed for improved work safety, easier delivery, and increased serving capacity.
