Decatur County Community Schools desired to develop a new Engineering Technology Center with Advanced Manufacturing.  Eventually, the program also grew to include training in cyber security. The project included renovating an existing wood shop that the school corporation no longer utilized into the new Technology and Cyber Security Center. The project includes collaboration and presentation spaces. Also incorporated was a mechatronic laboratory where students learn about the synergistic integration of mechanical engineering, control theory, computer science, and electronics to manage communication in engineered systems. The cyber security program includes certifications and training to perform security tests on data processing systems and adding new software to security files.
