PROJECT DETAILS:

Central Nine Career Center is a facility supported by nine partner schools within Johnson and Marion County. The mission of the Central Nine Career Center is “To engage, support, and empower students by providing active, career-based learning in an experiential environment.” In support of that mission, Lancer Associates designed an expansion of the existing facility to accommodate the growth of the welding program, as well as a large multi-purpose space to be used by the entire student body. In the new welding area, there are two classrooms and 40 welding stations including handicapped-accessible booths. This building will double C9’s current capacity, allowing the school to accept more students.
