PROJECT DETAILS:

In late 2022, Lancer Associates was hired by Madison-Grant United School Corporation to conduct a Feasibility Assessment that explored various goals and ideas related to enhancing and maintaining athletics and community amenities at the Madison-Grant Jr/Sr High School Campus. The results of that study led the School Board and School Administration to select Lancer Associates to design a new outdoor athletic facility, including locker rooms, concessions, restrooms, and storage, as well as improving the outdoor athletic entryway and pathways to spectator areas. Renovations of the existing athletic fields involved the complete replacement of the track surface, fencing around the track, and the addition of D-zone surfacing on the track. Partial turf was installed for the softball and baseball fields, and chain-link fence backstops were replaced with solid backstops and tension netting. Additionally, six new post-tension concrete tennis courts with fencing were constructed. The new locker room athletic building features public restrooms, and the school also chose to renovate the existing public restrooms in their current football locker room building, which was retained for storage purposes. Maintenance and upgrades to Madison-Grant’s outdoor athletic facilities will serve and inspire students, athletes, staff, coaches, and spectators for generations to come.
